Brown Leather Derby Shoes — CALCE

Derby shoes occupy a practical middle ground in any man's wardrobe: less ceremonial than an Oxford, more considered than a trainer. CALCE's brown model takes that proposition seriously. The open-lace construction allows a relaxed fit across the instep, while the shaded leather upper adds depth of colour that improves with wear.

The materials — full-grain leather with a shadow-finished overlay and a lightweight SPAY outsole — keep the shoe from feeling heavy during a full day on your feet. Brown is the more forgiving choice: it reads as composed in a boardroom context and relaxed enough alongside chinos or dark jeans at the weekend.
